Wednesday was the home opener for the Orlando Magic. It was a sell out crowd, and an awesome show. Unfortunately the Magic lost 78-90 to the Pacers. Ron Artest was booed quite a bit when he touched the ball. The half time show was done by Criss Angel from the A&E show MindFreak. He was hung upside down while in a straight jacket, and had to escape within 4:30 minutes to beat Houdini's record. He did it in 2:15. It was a very good show.
Thursday started with the Auto show in Motion. Where you get to test drive 150 cars on closed courses that put the cars to the limit. We waited an hour for the Pontiac Solstice. An awesome looking car, but a cheap, crappy car inside. We were very disappointed. We also got to drive a new Corvette (Betty's new favorite car!!), a Cadillac CTS-V (which has the Corvette motor, but felt a lot slower), an H2 on an offroad course. We took it up a mountain of dirt that seemed almost straight up. All of this was totally free too.
After the car show we went to see Dreamer. That's the movie where Dakota Fanning trains the injured horse back into a racer. A very good movie. We got free tickets at the Magic game for the movie, so the price was right.
Then we finished Thursday watching our Florida Seals beat the Fayetteville FireAntz 5-3 in a thrilling come from behind win in the 3rd period. A very good game, except the attendance was only 1800.
Now tonight we are back to another Seals game. We take on the Knoxville IceBears.
So a very busy, but very fun week. Only 12 days till Elton John concert!!!
